The music school of the Aarau-Buchs district school is affiliated to the KSAB district school and is therefore part of the elementary school. At the KSAB music school, almost 1000 pupils are individually supported and taught by 55 music teachers. It offers a varied and lively range of different orchestras, ensembles and bands. The Kadettenmusik Aarau and the Jugendspiel Buchs, consisting of several brass bands and drum corps, are also part of the music school.

Due to two retirements and one change, we are looking for new music teachers to join our team on August 11, 2025.

The workloads reflect the current status as of February 24, 2025.

We are looking for engaging personalities who can inspire children and young people with their positive view of human nature and pedagogical and didactic skills. We require a completed music education qualification.

according to cantonal guidelines (GAL). There is also the opportunity to work on various music school and elementary school projects.

The position of violin and ensemble director has been held by one person in recent years. In future, this may also be divided between two people. The various ensembles include the Aarau Youth and Children's Orchestra as well as various projects and bands.
