Encouraging young people to enjoy making music, promoting encounters between young musicians and searching for talent - these are the goals that the Swiss Youth Music Competition Foundation (SJMW) pursues by organizing the annual national music competition. Over 1000 children and young people take part in this competition every year. The 50th anniversary of the competition will be celebrated in fall 2025.
The SJMW Foundation is looking to recruit for the Zurich office for spring 2025 or by arrangement:
Head:in Office SJMW 100 %
As the head of a small team, you will be responsible for the organization and implementation of the annual competition. You will continue to build up fundraising and maintain contacts with the foundation's political, artistic and financial partners. Together with the Board of Trustees, you will lead the competition into the future.
You bring your enthusiasm and commitment to a renowned music education project of national importance. You have a university degree or an equivalent qualification and several years of professional experience, preferably in the cultural sector. You are assertive and committed, have social skills, flexibility and basic musical knowledge. You work independently and are a native speaker of either German or French and have good written and spoken knowledge of the other language. Ideally, you will also have a basic knowledge of Italian.
