Stravinsky project to join in
The Chur Singing School is celebrating the 140th birthday of Igor Stravinsky with a performance of his Mass for choir and wind instruments. Advanced choir singers are invited to actively participate.
The project starts on January 22 with a lecture by musicologist Natalia Treyer and the first rehearsals. During the rehearsal weekend on April 2 and 3, the choir will travel through Switzerland in Stravinsky's footsteps. The mass is to be performed in fall 2022 or spring 2023 together with Jubilate Deo by Giovanni Gabrieli and O sacrum Convivum by Gabriel Jackson. The musical director is Lilian Köhli.
