Unterwalden work contributions
The cantons of Obwalden and Nidwalden are offering joint work grants of CHF 20,000 and CHF 10,000 for 2022. The work grants are intended to provide direct and personal support to the selected artists.
The cultural commissions of Obwalden and Nidwalden are once again announcing joint work grants for the current year. The call, which has taken place annually since 2014, is aimed at artists in all cultural sectors. Anyone who has lived in one of the two cantons for at least three years or has lived here for at least 10 years or has an exceptionally close connection to Nidwalden and/or Obwalden due to their work is eligible to participate.
The work grants are intended to support artists and cultural practitioners directly and on a personal basis by enabling them to devote themselves intensively to their work for a certain period of time. They should be able to engage with an innovative artistic idea or deepen and further develop their artistic skills in a targeted manner. An expert jury will review and discuss the submissions and award the two grants.
