Swiss Film Award for "L'opéra de Paris"
Stéphane Bron's documentary film about the Paris Opera has been awarded a Swiss Film Prize 2018. The best film music is the composition by the trio Diego, Lionel Vincent and Nora Baldenweg for the feature film "The Little Witch".
"L'Opéra de Paris" by the production company Bande à part Films sàrl is "a fascinating interweaving of creative work and meticulous planning". Held together by the skillful hand of the director, singers, dancers, musicians and stagehands put their passion and heart and soul into "the creation of grandiose productions at one of the world's most prestigious lyrical venues", according to the film award's commentary.
Blue My Mind" won three awards at this year's Swiss Film Awards. Director Lisa Brühlmann received trophies in the Best Feature Film and Best Screenplay categories. Her protagonist, Luna Wedler, received the award for Best Actress for her role as Mia. "Facing Mecca" by Jan-Eric Mack (Dschoint Ventschr Filmproduktion AG) was awarded Best Short Film and "Airport" by Michaela Müller (Schick Productions) received the trophy for Best Animated Film.
