Grants from the Aargau Board of Trustees

The Aargau Board of Trustees has awarded eight work grants for music and seven studio residencies as well as three travel grants. Eight musicians from Aargau will each receive a work grant of CHF 20,000.

In the jazz category, these are the guitarist Franz Hellmüller (Unterkulm), the singer and composer Corinne Huber (Erlinsbach), the saxophonist and clarinettist Lukas Brügger (Baden) and the composer and producer Matthias Eser (Rumisberg). In the rock/pop category, drummer Lukas von Büren (Zofingen) and multi-instrumentalist Christian Fotsch (Mellingen) received the award. Composer Jörg Köppl (Zurich) and pianist Oliver Schnyder (Ennetbaden) were honored in the classical category.

Jazz trumpeter Silvan Schmid (Zurich) will travel to London for six months and classical singer Christina Daletska (Sarmenstorf) will spend six months in Paris.

Contributions in other disciplines were awarded to Eva Borner (Basel), Cédric Eisenring (Zurich), Dominique Müller (Lenzburg), Roberta Müller (Lenzburg) and Mark Wetter (Lenzburg). Travel grants were awarded to the filmmaker Eliane Bertschi (Zurich), the interdisciplinary mediator Ulrich Suter (Schongau) and the Aarau sound artist Joke Lanz (Berlin).
