Music education in Vaud under new management
The Haute Ecole de Musique Vaud Valais Fribourg and the Conservatoire de Lausanne will be headed by Canadian Noémie L. Robidas from next year. She is moving to Switzerland from the Institut supérieur des Arts de Toulouse, where she is Head of Department.
41-year-old Noémie L. Robidas studied violin at the Université de Montréal and specialized in music education at the Université Laval, also in Canada. Further studies took her to the École Normale de musique in Paris. She supplemented her music education with management training.
She taught at various levels for 15 years. For the last seven years, she has worked in France as director of training courses for music teachers and professional musicians. She therefore has a wealth of experience at all levels of music education. She has also taught in Switzerland. She will take up her new position in French-speaking Switzerland on March 1, 2019.
