Hablitzl Foundation honors students once again

Eleven prizes worth a total of CHF 120,000 were awarded this year as part of the music competition organized by the Kiefer Hablitzel Foundation (KHS), the Ernst von Göhner Foundation and the Collard Foundation. The non-public auditions took place on the premises of the Bern University of the Arts (HKB).

A total of 83 young instrumentalists and singers were invited to take part in this year's KHS competition. Benedek Horváth (piano) and Valerio Lisci (harp) were awarded the first prizes, each worth CHF 15,000. Horváth has also been awarded the Collard Prize. The latter consists of a financial contribution towards training for one year.

Second prizes (CHF 10,000 each) were awarded to: Pablo González Balaguer (saxophone), Leonor Dill (piano), Harun Bugran Yüksel (piano), Anton Spronk (violoncello), Carlos Tarancón (bassoon), Sherniyaz Mussakhan (violin), Alejandro Oliván López (saxophone), Sandrine Droin (soprano) and Jansen Ryser (piano).

The Kiefer Hablitzl Prize is aimed at young musicians living in Switzerland who are in possession of a recognized professional diploma. The age limits are set at 28 years for instruments and 30 years for singing.
