Music education connects city and countryside

The Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen (WPR) is implementing a new kind of educational project: an interactive live stream directly from the WPR studio is broadcasting the orchestra's music to the countryside. Swiss music educators are also invited to take part.

An interactive live stream directly from the WPR studio broadcasts the orchestra's music to the countryside, in the Alenberghalle Münsingen. There, school classes will experience the orchestra in real time.

One 5th grade class will also compete against each other in a fun game show and will answer interesting and exciting questions about the music played and the orchestra, so that presenter Anuschka Wagner can present the WPR Trophy at the end of the live stream. The stream goes both ways. The participants in the country and the orchestra can thus come into direct contact.

This first live stream broadcast is reserved for the participating schools and music educators from Germany and Switzerland as evaluating experts. From the second live stream broadcast in spring 2019, the live stream will then be opened up to a wider audience.
