Choirmaster

Due to the departure of our conductor, we are looking for a new choir director as of October 1, 2025 or by arrangement

12 church and non-church events per year
Rehearsal evening is Tuesday
Workload approx. 15%

You bring with you:

• Completed training in choral conducting
• good piano skills to accompany the choir on the piano during rehearsals
• Church music practice and an introduction to the organization of church music in the liturgy
• Willingness to work closely with the parish team and the organist
• Willingness to actively participate in community life (desired)

We offer:

• a choir with around 22 dedicated members who appreciate the classical repertoire but also enjoy exploring other genres
• a congregation interested in church music
• a beautiful neo-Gothic church and a rehearsal venue in the heart of Bern's old town
• Musical accompaniment of the choir by the organist at dress rehearsals and church services
• Musical support from an instrumental ensemble is also possible for solemn services
• modern employment conditions in accordance with the guidelines of the Choir Association
