We are looking for a new position with immediate effect or by arrangement:
Musician for the production of sheet music in Braille
(70-80%)
Your main task is to convert musical scores into Braille, from simple songs to complex scores. You are motivated to familiarize yourself with a wide range of specialist areas with specific writing and sign systems. In addition to a high level of concentration and a passion for perfection, you have a tinkerer's gene for integrating music notation software into the production process.
Your main tasks include
- Creating, checking and correcting digital music templates
- Analyze the original in terms of layout and special features
- Implementing, checking and correcting the Braille output
- Optimizing the creation of sheet music in Braille by incorporating various music notation programs
You must meet the following requirements:
- University degree in music (e.g. classical instrumental diploma) or equivalent training
- Experience in reading scores
- In-depth practical experience with music notation programs
- Affinity for and routine use of ICT tools
- Very good German and good English skills
- Willingness to make a long-term commitment
- Knowledge of Music-XML an advantage
- Knowledge of various instrumental notations desirable
