Markus Flückiger, who has shaped the Swiss folk music scene for twenty years, will receive 25,000 francs. According to the press release, he is breaking new ground with his "Oberfeld" project. A few years ago, he began sampling the sounds of the Schwyzerörgeli, including button and bellows noises, right down to the zipper of the Örgelir backpack. From this material, Flückger invents a highly emotional, complex and versatile sound language that takes him into new spheres as a composer, according to the explanatory statement.

The singer and dancer Sheila Runa Lindauer (CHF 15,000) will organize a series of concerts with the flamenco septet Banda Ancha in autumn 2015 and record their own compositions together. In the opinion of the expert jury, the project has great potential for innovation. It enables Sheila Runa Lindauer to follow a promising path.

Accordionist Andrea Ulrich (CHF 10,000), who was the first "Accordion Folk Music" student to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Music in summer 2012, wants to use her contribution to further her artistic development. Together with other musicians, she wants to record a CD with her own compositions and arrangements. She wants to vary traditional and innovative folk music through to jazzier sounds.
