Bern information for cultural professionals
Kultur Stadt Bern has compiled information on the corona crisis for cultural professionals, cultural institutions and cultural event organizers on its website.
You will find information on the handling of project contributions, how to deal with institutions with flat-rate program funding or institutions with a performance contract, as well as information on compensation for loss of earnings for freelance and self-employed cultural workers, short-time work compensation and the federal government's package of measures.
According to the city's press release, the Economic Office will be responsible for providing information on the aid measures that the federal government has decided on for the self-employed and for people with temporary employment contracts. People who are not entitled to federal assistance can contact the social services.
The information is updated on an ongoing basis. Kultur Stadt Bern can be reached by telephone from Monday to Friday, 9 to 11.30 am and 2 to 4 pm.
