Doron Prize for the Swiss Youth Music Competition
On March 20, the Swiss Foundation for the Doron Prize honored the commitment of the Swiss Youth Music Competition Foundation to the search for and promotion of talent.
As the Foundation for the Doron Prize announced in a press release on March 14, in 2013 it will honor the Swiss Samaritan Federation and the Swiss Youth Music Competition Foundation (SJMW). The prizes are endowed with 50,000 Swiss francs each.
She justifies the awarding of the prize with the SJMW's many years of commitment to promoting young talent. Since its foundation in 1975, it has developed into a unique institution of national importance. The SJMW primarily serves to motivate children and young people to engage intensively and actively with music.
The Foundation for the Doron Prize is one of the Rich Foundations and has awarded prizes to 72 foundations, charitable organizations and individuals that have made outstanding achievements in the fields of culture, public welfare and science over the past 27 years.
